Calorimeter Electric, For determining the electrical equivalent of heat.
The cover contains a mounted heating coil of about 1.5 ohms resistance with standard binding posts for electrical connections.
When connected to a 6-volt battery, this coil will cause a temperature rise of about 5 degrees centigrade in 10 minutes.
The supporting posts and coil are coated to prevent electrolysis.
This Electric Calorimeter walled calorimeter has a heating coil for the electrical equivalent of heat experiments.
It features a 1.7cm thick Styrofoam liner, a plastic insulator ring, an aluminum reservoir with a capacity of 150ml, a thermometer stopper and an insulated stirrer.
It also includes an instruction manual.
