About This Product
The condenser is clamped to a distillation or reflux apparatus. Cooling water enters at the lower connection and leaves at the upper one, and the flow is started before the flask is heated. Vapour passing through the coiled tube cools and turns back into liquid; at the end, heating is stopped first and the water turned off once the apparatus has cooled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. How should the cooling water be connected? Connect the water inlet to the lower connection and the outlet to the upper connection for counter-current cooling, and start the water before heating.
Q2. Can it be used for reflux? Yes. It is used for reflux reactions as well as simple and fractional distillation and solvent recovery.
