About This Product
Desiccant such as silica gel is placed in the lower chamber and the perforated plate is set above it to hold samples, crucibles or weighing bottles. A thin layer of desiccator grease can be applied to the ground rim before the lid is closed. Heated crucibles are cooled here before weighing, and the lid is opened by sliding it sideways rather than lifting it.
